Silent Hosts - Square Base

Silent Hosts is a sculptural seating collection that re imagines the traditional stool as both a functional object and a vessel for art. Each monolithic stool stands alone in minimal form, but transforms into a chair when a modular backrest/ art piece is attached. The backrest/ art pieces are shaped to resemble human faces, carved to evoke subtle expressions. These faces are not decorative; they serve as silent companions, watching over the space and inviting a dialogue between user and object. By merging utility with art, Silent Hosts explores the blurred boundary between design and art. Whether arranged in solitude or in groups, each piece suggests the presence of someone who was just there or is quietly still. They are objects that remembers, holds space, and gently looks back.
